Q : 이번 출품작에 대한 간략한 설명을 적어주세요.
A :
이번 작업은 “손”이라는 오브제로 시리즈를 만들었습니다. 이전에는 나무, 돌 무생물 위주로 사유하는 작업을 했다면 이번에는 우리 신체에서 가장 밀도 높은 신경을 가지고 있고, 다양한 의미를 가진 손을 통해서 제 작업에 다양한 해석이 붙길 바라는 마음에 작업했습니다.
In this project, I created a series using the object of "hands." Whereas my previous work primarily focused on inanimate objects like wood and stone, this time I chose hands, which have the densest nerves in our body and hold various meanings. Through the use of hands, I hope that my work will invite diverse interpretations.

Q : 나의 작업을 대표하는 키워드 3가지를 알려주세요.
Q : 작가님의 작업에서 판화가 갖는 의미는 무엇인가요?
A :
저한테 있어서 판화는 살아가는 것과 비슷 한것 같아요. 프레스기에 찍히기 이전에 결과를 알수 없는 부분이 꼭 경험하지 않으면 모르는 것 처럼요.
또, 같은 판이더라도 그날의 상황, 환경에 따라 미세하게 달라지는 점은 우리의 감정과도 같다고 생각합니다.
For me, printmaking is akin to living. Just as you cannot know the outcome before the plate goes through the press, you cannot understand certain things without experiencing them. Additionally, the subtle differences that arise from the same plate depending on the day's conditions and environment are much like our emotions.
Q : 앞으로 시도하고자 하는 작업의 방향은 무엇인가요?
A :
사실 매 한 작품, 한 작품이 저에게는 시도이고 연구 인것 같아요. 아직도 메조틴트에 대해서 연구해야하는 부분이 많습니다. 하지만 평면 이외에 입체로 넘어가고 싶은 욕망은 있습니다.
In fact, every single work is an experiment and study for me. There is still much to research about mezzotint. However, I have a desire to move beyond flat surfaces and venture into three-dimensional works.
