전태형은 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 작가이며 균형, 조화, 꿈, 무의식을 통해 스스로를 들여다보는 일련의 작업을 하고 있다. 이러한 관심을 인체와 식물의 유기적인 형태들로 풀어내는데, 디지털 작업과 논-디지털 인쇄 기법, 도자, 설치등의 다양한 표현방법을 통해 탐구한다.

Tae-hyung Jeon is an artist based in Seoul who engages in a series of works that explore self-reflection through balance, harmony, dreams, and the unconscious. He translates these interests into organic forms of the human body and plants, exploring them through various expressive methods such as digital work, non-digital printing techniques, ceramics, and installations.

Q : 이번 출품작에 대한 간략한 설명을 적어주세요.

A :

전태형은 균형, 조화, 꿈, 무의식을 통해 자아를 들여다보고, 그러한 관심을 식물과 인체의 형태로 풀어내는 일련의 작업을 하고 있다. 이번 전시에서 버섯으로 다시 태어난 작가 자신을 반복적으로 묘사한 여러 작품을 선보인다.

Tae-hyung Jeon delves into the self through balance, harmony, dreams, and the unconscious, expressing these interests in a series of works through the forms of plants and the human body. In this exhibition, he presents several works that repeatedly depict himself reborn as a mushroom.

파편적인 판을 한 번에 나열하여 혹은 중첩하여 찍어내는 작업에 큰 흥미를 느낀다. 각 판을 독립적인 세계를 들여다 보는 창으로 생각했을 때, 여러 개의 세계가 겹치면서 가능한 스토리텔링을 연구해 보고 싶다.

I find great interest in the work of arranging or layering fragmented plates to print them at once. When considering each plate as a window into an independent world, I wish to explore the storytelling possibilities that arise from the overlapping of multiple worlds.
